Nicolás Pimentel

 37 years old. Founder and Innovation Director of +Castro.


 Nicolás has an 18 year eclectic background in advertising. In June 2010 he launched +Castro, the first innovation house in Latin America.

His carreer is a constant reinvention. He started as a copywriter at Casares Grey. Five years later, he became Group Account Director of BBDO Argentina servicing brands like Nike South Cone (where he led “Barrio Bonito” among other successful campaigns) and Pepsico Snacks South Cone. In 2008 he became Director of Integrated Communications of BBDO Argentina, where he lead campaigns such as “Bring slow dancing back” for Doritos; “Nike 10K 5 runners 650,000 followers”, “Hoody on moments” a campaign for Nike Europe and also was responsible of the creation of the producton innovation and brand creation of Retrosnacks for Pepsico Snacks. All these works let BBDO Argentina rank #7 among the top Agencies for Integrated campaigns in the WON Report 2009 and be the only Latin America Ad agency among Cream's 100 most innovative companies in 2009.


Since he founded +Castro in June 2010, he has developed as Innovation Director all different kind of communication experiments for brands like Nike (Southern cone), Mondelez International, Google Latam, Danone Argentina, Personal (Argentinnean Mobile company), Claro (Argentinnean Mobile company), Pepsico Foods South America, Pepsico Beverages (Twister for Tropicana), Lo Jack Argentina and Argentina´s Touristic Promotion Institute.

In november 2011 he invented together with Mondelez International and Contagious Insider the Fly Garage (Flygarage.net). An innovation incubator for Mondelez brands that started as a Latin american iniciative and now it´s becoming global. That´s why in June 2012 Nico was speaker in Cannes for the first time (the second Argentinnean in history to be speaker in the Festival). Dana Anderson (Mondelez Global Mkt VP) invited him to be part of the Kraft  forum called: ¨Five sneacky ways to get great work¨ and launch the Project globally.
